The Australian Government of South Australia hosts forums which grasp the concept of body image as a major health issue particularly amongst young people. It helps people to gain a proper understanding of the increasing risk behaviours associated with body image and how it affects our perceptions of a healthy body image.

Australian Government have also donated $500,000 to The Butterfly Foundation, a foundation helping conquer eating disorders, as well as a program for schools, with 2500 educators trained to teach 100,000 students aged between eight and 18 about positive body image, covering topics such as media literacy and self-esteem.
